The editing process

Have you ever wondered the post photoshoot processes that happens behind the scenes after your photoshoot? The first thing that happens in the photography editing process is culling. Culling is a term used to sift through the images deciding which ones will make it to the final gallery. Typically I will take anywhere from 500 to 700 raw images a session, which is very typical for any photographer because we know that a vast majority of them will have blinking, hair blowing, children not looking or just simply not flattering. I take your images and put them into a folder, I then select that folder in a program called adobe bridge. Once there I will 5 star all my favorite images, and this process typically takes me anywhere from 25-45 minutes depending on the session. I try to narrow the gallery down to 30-50 images picking the best and flattering images. I will then take the images from there and take them into a program called adobe lightroom thats where I do most of me editing and the magic happens. This will consist of applying my presets, adjusting exposure, shadows, color-grading, removing people & distractions from the background/ beach shore. This is just a small look into the editing and culling process thanks for reading along, hope you have a great stay in the Destin Florida area can't wait to photograph you.
